Study Objectives and Sampling Methodolgy

The objective of this study is determine the fish community associated with eelgrass beds in San Diego Bay and Mission Bay and how that community fluctuates over time. One intertidal/subtidal station in Mission bay and one intertidal/subtidal station in San Diego Bay have been sampled on a quarterly basis since 1988. Sampling consists of beach seine hauls conducted during daylight and night conditions.
